COMFORT IN PAINTING
Growing up in a musically inclined family, Michelle Bond, has been painting since she was 6 years old. She pursued a Fine Arts degree from San Francisco State University and graduated in 1992. Her familial background in the Philippines has given her art a colorful, playful and lyrical sense.
By 1992, she had shown in 2 Juried exhibitions held in Oakland and San Francisco as one of several emerging new artists in the field of Printmaking. Her series of Large Prints called METTRE LA TABLE are monoprints of table settings printed in 24x36 BFK Archives paper showcased her use of ink and printing press as a medium to paint . While it took a while to get back into the artworld after building a Landscape Design and Maintenance Company she returns to her Art after 20 years.
Today, Michelle Bond, The Artist mixes her time between the Design studio, landscape installations and her art. Her background in Art and bright personality allow her to produce works that are as functional as they are captivating.
